When units do come out, what is behind them is rarely tidy: patched drywall, old wiring runs, a shutoff valve that should have been replaced a decade ago. I price those as they are found, and tell you before doing them.
Appliance installs and cabinet work are priced per item, so you can see each piece. Larger remodels are quoted as a job after a site visit. If an install turns up a valve or a connection that should be replaced while everything is pulled out, you get the price before I touch it.
