The person who shows up is the person you hired

My name is Jason Puhr. I have been doing this work for more than twenty years, and Handyman Professional Services is my own business, not a franchise and not a dispatch service. When you call, you get me. When the truck pulls up, it is me getting out of it.

Most of my work is repeat customers and their neighbours. That shapes how I price and how I work: a job done badly is a job I have to drive back to, and a customer I lose. It is cheaper for everyone if I do it right the first time.

How I work

You get a written quote first. Not a number over the phone that changes later. Quoting costs nothing, and for anything larger I will come out and look before pricing it.

Add-ons go on the invoice; anything dropped comes off. If we find something while I am there, I will tell you what it costs before I do it. If a line turns out not to be needed, you do not pay for it.

I clean up. Floors covered, furniture moved and put back, debris hauled away.

I write down what I used. Paint colors, product numbers, breaker types. When you call in two years about a touch-up, the answer is on file rather than guesswork.

The business end

Handyman Professional Services LLC is a Missouri limited liability company, fully insured for general liability. If your HOA, property manager or employer needs a certificate of insurance before I set foot on site, ask and I will send it the same day.

For work that legally requires a licensed trade — a panel change, gas piping, structural work — I will tell you plainly and point you to someone who holds that license. Knowing where that line sits is part of the job.

What I am not

I am not the cheapest, and I am not a crew that can wallpaper your whole house next Tuesday. I am one experienced person who does careful work and turns up when he says he will. For most home repair lists, that is exactly what is needed.
