Interior Painting

Paint is the cheap part. What you are paying for is the prep: filling and sanding, taping off, covering floors and furniture, taking the outlet plates off rather than cutting around them, and cutting a clean line where the wall meets the ceiling.

When the job is finished I record the colors — name, number, product line and sheen — against your address. When you need a touch-up two years from now, you do not have to guess.

What this usually covers

• Walls and ceilings, one room or the whole house
• Trim, baseboards, crown moulding and doors
• Cabinet painting, doors taken off and sprayed or brushed
• Stairwells and high or awkward ceilings
• Accent walls, wainscoting and feature trim
• Filling, sanding and spot-priming before any topcoat
• Furniture moved and covered, floors protected
• Window treatments taken down and rehung
• Colour records kept on file for future touch-ups

How it is priced

Interior painting is quoted by the room or the job, not by the hour, so the number on the quote is the number on the invoice unless the scope changes. The quote lists prep, coats and materials separately so you can see what you are paying for. Paint is either supplied by me at cost plus a materials line, or bought by you if you would rather.
